If you love desserts as much as we do, you’ve probably tried your hand once or twice at whipping up a birthday cake or a tray of muffins. And while it may look easy when Martha Stewart does it, in reality it’s nothing short of rocket science. Even if you do manage to combine the ingredients in the proper order and preheat for the precise amount of time necessary to ensure that your cake bakes evenly, one misstep and the entire sheet of sugary goodness collapses into itself, leaving you with a molten mess that is too ugly to touch.
Marie Troitski, an architect-turned-pastry chef, is just 21-years-old. But in those 21 short years she has managed to extract the most from her training and build the most elegant pastries we have had the pleasure of laying our eyes on. While it started as a hobby, Marie’s creations have become the envy of the industry. She collected formal training from three different academies and managed to create a business that combines her passion for architecture with her love of baking.
As you’re about to see, many of Marie’s confections include structural motifs such as chocolate skyline silhouettes and abstract shapes. Still, she manages to make each and every one of them look absolutely delicious. We’ve collected some of our favorites for your viewing pleasure. If you’d like to see more, you should definitely check out Marie’s Instagram (link at the end of the post).
